THE DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET

The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy
(You may use rosary beads or your fingers to do this chaplet)

1. The Sign of the Cross

2. One “Our Father” prayer

3. One “Hail Mary” prayer

4. One Apostles Creed prayer

5. Recite the following prayer, one (1) time:

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Thy Most Beloved Son and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world.”

6. Recite the following prayer, ten (10) times:

“For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.” In between each decade, the following prayer is recited: “O Blood and Water which spurt out from the Sacred Heart of Jesus as a never ending source of mercy for us, we pray to you.”

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6, in order, for a total of five (5) times (known as five decades).

8. After the fifth decade is achieved, recite the following prayer three (3) times:

“O Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the

whole world.”

9. The chaplet is concluded with the Sign of the Cross.
